This website

This website is for members and prospective members of Voicemale, a men's choir in Norfolk, England. The choir is led by Stephanie Anderson, whose website has a page dedicated to Voicemale.

Our songs

We sing three- or four-part harmony in a rich variety of styles including African, gospel and songs from places like Georgia and Corsica, as well as ones from nearer to home. Here are three we performed in June 2017:

Ar Lan Y Mor, a love song from Wales

Bentatik Natorr, another love song, from the Basque country, sung here with another of Stephanie's choirs, Trinity Broads Singers, supplying a "drone" in the background

Come Along My Friend, a gospel song, sung here with Trinity Broads Singers and the audience

Links to songs from previous years can be found on the History page.

Our performances

We generally perform once or twice a year. We have contributed to Christmas entertainments and sung at private events as well as joining Stephanie's other choirs for combined concerts.

Our rehearsals

We rehearse from September to June inclusive from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. usually on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month and the fifth when applicable. Dates for 2017-18 are:

We divide the season into three terms and pay a term at a time in advance. The cost for a term usually works out at £8 per session, though this can vary depending on the number in the choir.

Stephanie has created a useful site for us at Shutterfly with sound files for various song parts, a practice log and more. It is password-protected so only asccessible to members of the choir.
